Hi folks,

Stupidly in the process of getting my car ready for its MOT on Tuesday I have pinged off the metal clip that goes on the throttle cable and stops it going slack, I can't for the life of me find it despite taking out half the engine bay and It means the car is undrivable, with the MOT coming up on tuesday I am in desperate need of one.

Happy to collect tonight or tomorrow around Manchester/Leeds.

Cheers!

The little metal clip that sets the throttle cable tension at the throttle body end of the cable.

Improvise using lock wire, R clip, Jubilee clip.

Ok so I tried bending a thick hair pin into the right shape and it worked for all of 100 yards and then the cable slipped through and the engine cut out(ICV must not be recalibrated yet). I tried a cable tie but it was too thick to sit in the little wells so the cable just slipped through again. If anyone has a proper clip that would be amazing, if not its a long walk for me in the morning to the Pug dealership.

Wire wrapped around it in one of the grooves twisted.

If you don't have wire, get some flex and strip it back and improvise with several stands together.
