Hi I'm thinking of upgrading my brakes to 406 brembo and xantia discs my question is how much of a improvement are they other well serviced standard gti6 setup and has anyone found away to stop them from squealing Dunno and i quest well were at it pad recommendations

Depends what your using them for. On the road there is no point, track there is a big improvement and much less fade.

Do a search on squeal and pads, G88's and Mintex 1144's I ran before going to 330mm. Only had the occasional squeal when cold

Yeah I'm going to be running a v6 just want something more up to stopping the added weight it's only going to be for the the road possibly the odd track day but mainly just for show , are you using 17s with those 330 s ?

The v6 only weighs 60kg more so not making much difference to the weight with regards to braking. The xantia discs weigh a ton aswell.

You'll need alloys to clear the brembos and not all of them to. Only turinis and pr1.2 I have tried but there are others.

Seems a bit of a waste just for show, but I think you can never have brakes that are too good. I'm running 330 on a standard engine at the moment! Time will prevail...

Cool ive got pro 1.2 in 16 s so that sounds good, have you got the 406 calipers with your 330 s ?

pro race 1.2's they do, and speedline 1508's.

with 288x28 of course.

Cool looks like I'm going to be spending my suspension budget on some big ass brakes, i feel 110k old shocks with gmax springs are underrated anyway lol
