My Rallye has the metal style rear wiper arm (like most it seems - and as shown in the Rallye sales brochure). The spindle from the motor has no hole for the washer jet, as the washer jet is at the top of the screen like the later models. The tailgate is the ph2.5 type with the rubber seal around the glass.

As Peugeot built it with the later motor without the washer going through it, you'd think they would fit the plastic arm also. 'Parts Bin Special' as they say...

The plastic ones look nicer, so I want to get one. Removing used ones often ends in breakages so I will look at buying a new'un. The part number I've got from Service Box is - 6429Q5 which is the arm Since XXXX, so I'd assume is the latest one they did. The picture does show a metal arm though. I suppose I can't blame them for using the same image, but just wanted to check if anyone had purchased a plastic rear wiper arm from Peugeot - is that the number you used?

Thanks Gwyn. I didn't think to punch the part number into eBay to cross reference.

A grommet looks s**t in glass IMO. If it was on a plastic panel which you could smooth it wouldn't be so bad, but it sticks out like a sore thumb as a quick fix.

Agreed. When I got mine the wiper motor was seized and the wiper arm broken (plastic P3 type, though dunno if that was the original one), so I ran it with a grommet in there for a while, and yep, looked a bit s**t, like a bodge quick fix. So I got a used motor and new P3 plastic arm.

Exactly this. Never really been a fan of de-wiperization LOL - just doesn't look right to me, but its an individual choice Thumbs up
