Hi folks

Anyone know whether cyclones will clear a HiSpec Billet 300 setup?

Cheers

Welshpug, are cyclones pretty thick rims as I've found a few threads on PistonHeads etc now with people (on tvr's) getting the billet 300 kit like mine under a 15 inch wheel?

Track tyres in 16's are proving to be a bloody nightmare so would pref 15's if I can find them...

Pro race 1.2's are pretty good for clearance. I've got 310 under mine, could have even pushed it to 315 if i had really wanted to.

Thats a pretty interesting read, and there are several other decent threads on here for brake conversions, although i dont recall seeing many HiSpec ones.

Thanks gents

The Facebook folk have been saying I need ford fitment wheels to clear the spokes, does that ring true?

By ford fitment i assume they mean 4x108 holes, which is what you'd need on a 306.
I think my wheels are et15 offset.

On my conversion i had to offset the rotor as close to the knuckle as i could so the calipers were as far back as i could manage, that allowed a bit more space between the caliper and the wheel itself as the pro race 1.2's taper to a smaller diameter as they get to where the spokes are, on mine i dont think spoke clearance is too bad.
Having said that the HiSpec calipers will be different size and shape wise so none of that may apply to you.

I Doubt it as ford fitment wheels need somthing like 20 or 22mm spacers to make them the correct offset, without the spacers the spokes will be 20 odd mm closer to the caliper
