Got a knock on back end again Hmm had a look and it's coming from the beam tube I presume. I rebuilt it 3 years ago with new shafts, bearings seals etc. I can't see any excessive play though. The noise is very noticeable with handbrake on, not so much without. Also under braking u can hear it. If I'm right in saying I thing the inner bearing is f**ked, but definitely no creeking noises. Just a loud knock when I push the back end down with handbrake on.
What do you think guys?
Cheers

highly unlikely its the bearings, check the beam mountings and the caliper bolts.

I'm talking about the hole in the inner part of the shaft.

Yes, shouldnt be any clearence, it has some rubber bushes inside to seal and prevent that clearance.

That black rubber:

PD: Thats a good example of how NOT to mount it Big grin

The noise seems to be coming from where the inner bearing is pressed to in the beam tube

In that case, did you fit the inner bearings to correct depth ??

Brake pads??? Having some movement?
Does it have excesive camber? Tried pushing it sideways also? If it´s the inner bearing, by pushing it sideways it should also do that sound I guess

No, just sideways movement you can here the noise. My camber hasn't changed since the rebuild.
