Bit of a update after 2 1/2 years sat doing nothing I’ve decided to build it into a track car. I have a question how much do you strip out of the interior ? At the moment I’ve lost all the door electrics and the dash and seats. My plans are to have a bolt in cage 2 buckets seat a fibre glass dash with a reduced loom.
I’m now not sure do I rip out the rest all the plastic, carpets and head liner. I know a few of you have similar projects would you recommend a fully stripped car ?

If you want to use it in the road as well I’d probably say no as it’s horribke to live with but if a out and out track car then yeah rip it all out

Probably just to drive about in now and than, I still have a very day car plus my other 306. So would just need to drive it to a track and hopefully back again

How it’s been sat for almost 3 years. It’s also been robbed of a lot of parts in this time

Don’t be a pussy. Rip it all out! As for the dash, fibreglass can be very dangerous if it breaks in an accident. I would cut down the original and get it flocked if anything.

Dan I want to but people have said I’ll regret it afterwards

Has anyone got any advice or pointers for reducing the dash loom. I’ve cut all the conduits and tape off and tried to follow it back but I’m pretty lost now, I only need the basics, stalk controls, speedo cluster, hazards and rear demist. Does anyone offer this has a serivice ?

To get a loom built is a lot of money. Just lay it all out and cut a wire at a time etc. I’ve just built mine from scratch but not using stalks etc took some time but hardly any wiring left compared to a standard road going car.

As said, just take the loom out then find each wire thats not needed and snip it out.
It took me about 3 consecutive evenings but filled about 3 carrier bags with unwanted wire. I did the loom to the back of the car at the same time.

Loom was a pain but worth it. I could still remove a fair bit I suspect

Mine is very well stripped and the only thing that makes noise is the roll cage because it’s just bolted together at the mo. That and the bean tin exhaust Smile
