There my last 2 had 8 originally one is my first car i learnt in and the other is a turbo project i started with my old man so i liked to see them finished to be honest, try the mini forum they come up cheap there sometimes

Ok I've managed to get both driveshafts off tonight no problem other than i still can't find these locking bolts on the long drive shaft but I have managed to pull it apart (see below) will this be good enough to get the engine out ? Dunno

Today was a good day, it's out old leaky and tappy is now free from the car



Had to have abit of a de rusting session once the engine was out, quick scrub off with the grinder, treated if with some rust convertor than primed it up


Going to take the subframe out later and degrease and possibly might be changing the rack to a xsara one Thumbs up

Just to help you out we got rid of the power steering cooling pipe on our car Smile... hasn't caused us a problem yet and we've used it on track Smile

Cheers How did you shorten it ? I've seen it done somewhere where they shortened to metal loop right back so it just connected the rubber hoses together , or can you just loop one pipe back into the reservoir ?

I've been offered a nice white rallye with a HG failure really tempted to build that into a v6 instead and break this one
