Any recommended books for reading about engine building or tuning, particularly ones that are useful when building a 6 engine?

Mapping would also be interesting but probably difficult to put in a book.

There's my selection. The Haynes books are quite basic but informative if you just want a general idea. The Guy Croft book is aimed at Lancia engines but the theory applies to pretty much any engine and it is probably the best book, although it wants to be for the price. The Graham Bell books are very good too.
