Here's a gearbox I built for a friend, he's thinking of swapping it for a more tame road orientated set of ratios.

Its a BE3 XU casing, gear ratios as follows;

3.251 (1st) / 1.85 (2nd) / 1.28 (3rd) / 1.05 (4th) / 0.744 (5th) / 4.93 (final drive)

Fully rebuilt with all new seals and bearings

Does not need any machining to fit a plate diff (Currently has one fitted but will not be sold with the box unless a good offer is made for it as well)

Has done around 1200 road miles since being built.

Sat at 50-60mph recently to and from pugfest with a full car, it gave 44mpg on a mildly tuned 1.9 8v on bodies (175 bhp / 170 lbft 205)

located South or West Wales for collection, after £750.

What brand has the differential? Is it as new as the box?

How do these diffs perform? Do they clunk on slow speeds? And whats the price for the diff alone?

Any plate diff will clunk at low speeds on lock, however some friction modifier added to the standard Peugeot gear oil helps with that, they also highlight any play in the joints etc.

I believe RRP on them is £702, Miles does them at £602.

just confirmed, extra £650 gets it with the diff, as it has new bearings and bolts.
