CAR HASN'T BEEN USED FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS, RELUCTANT SALE DUE TO HOUSE MOVE, ALL THE MODS BELOW WERE ALREADY DONE WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR AROUND 5 YEARS AGO. I HAD THE ENGINE RECONDITIONED REBUILT AND REMAPPED, IT HASN'T BEEN NEAR A TRACK SINCE. THE GARAGE THAT DID THE WORK ALSO GAVE ME A 500 MILE TRACK WARRANTY ON THE BUILD I AM SURE THEY WOULD HONOUR THIS SINCE IT HASN'T BEEN USED YET.

I have all the supporting documents from the last ten years totalling a spend of 15K. showing usual signs of age as you would expect for the year of car but overall very tidy with good mechanical condition. The engine starts without blue smoke and sounds smooth when running.

This is a great track car or a fun car for the weekend as is still road legal, I have had loads of good times driving it as the handling is superb with the Quaife LSD and suspension.

Here is a clip of a Nurburgring adventure from 2010 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ms-EsJ9EjNM

Think you will do well to get that now .....

Sadly Plate diffs & AP brakes / Ashs brakes & fully welded cages & better shocks are expected ....if it was me I'd split it !!!
Ok spec ....I think I'd personally want more than 202bhp for my money ...

Just my thoughts ....hope I'm wrong & all the best m8.Thumbs up

I'm sure it WAS ?
But so many great cars are for sell at the moment ....
I've not touched my engine yet & I've spent scary amount ....on a old car !!!...I believe the 15k .!!!

I hope it really does sell .!!!.
I have Pmd him to make an offer ....but would be splitting it for just the Engine ..I don't want just a track car with two seats & cage ...I want something I can use all round & take more than one person in ....done all the roll age stuff when I was much much younger .!!!!....that's me...not all of us want the same things ....

Loads of great track cars are sold it seems because thats all they are for ...track not roads & don't get used much !
Driving around at 46yrs of age on the roads on the weekends in something like this ...I'd feel a right Charlie ...that's my view ..
I want a toy for weekends that doesn't restrict me LOL

It's not good when Cars arnt used for long spells Thumbs down

Sadly... it's a buyers market & that's getting much smaller market !!!
I go to watch at Castle Coombe often & not many 306s anymore ...sadly !!!

I've only been on here a year & loads of great People & Great cars have Gone & won't be coming back ?

This is just my view ....as I've said ...hope this sells for £4000Thumbs up

^thats how i read it! Nothing worse than someone playing down a value on a for sale post because they want it.

This isn't whats it worth forum so why are you pulling it to bits saying its over priced. Do it via pm or keep it to yourself.

let the guy try and sell his car for goodness sake.

I think you read it like that because you wanted to ?
Thanks for my Edited fake comment ...pmsl

I think you have got me totally wrong
I've given him a lifeline
I didn't want to offend anyone
He said it's for sell on Piston heads & Ebay !!!!!!!
NO TAKERS Yet ?

So I have PMd him to say if he doesn't sell it what would the best price be ...if he's interested....but like I said on here ...I would buy it to strip for only the engine as my cars how I want it !!
I don't think me putting a view is going to put off buyers & this is a forum of views ?
I really really do hope he gets his £4k

Thanks buddy, I will have to get a progress thread on the go for it, Simon was a top chap and has helped us massively.
The car needs a lot of work to get it near a track again. Will be re shelled over the winter time, but is all do able with no problems.

Massively short of £4k asked ...well done ....I went to £3200 !....but I would of stripped it as I've said & sold the bits I didn't want !!!!
Why does it need a Re Shell ????

Enjoy m8 ....hopefully see you at Coombe soon ?

Just going to get clear that simon the seller wasn't at fault, the car had been stood up and has rotted through on the main chassis box section, floor pan, and the drivers side sill.
It couldn't been seen until we got the car up into the air a few foot on stands, and had a good look around.
I don't want to paint simon in a bad light because he didn't just walk away from it. He helped us out with it and stays in contact.
We had our mot tester pop round for his opinion. For the amount there is, it would be a fair bit of money to repair. Which is why we went for the option of the re shell. Well. Engine swap and swap the cage over.

@days666 we will still be going coombe, have a 206 gti that we use on track. There is a track day on the 18th if your coming up?

(£400) saving NOW that sounds a lot better than saying 10% ...don't you think ?
£400 saving can buy you a whole load of products
£400 to me is a shed load of money..LOL

Sadly that can happen when things are left unused !!!
I'm Sure he was a great chap ....
All that matters is your happy with what you got !!!

Good on you for wanting to do that & hope you get a fully welded in cage & respray the inside of new shell / cage ?

I would of not been interested in the shell anyway !

Me & Pebbles & a couple others are going up to Forge action day September there !!!

Do you mean 19th Aug /Tuesday full Track-day ( not 18th )...sounds a great day but £250 is a bit steep for me at the mo ...
My regular road car just cost me over £400 to pass mot ...

Will come up and watch though & bring the car just incase I can get on for a bit Cheaper ???

Yeah we are happy with it. The 306 I used to drive was reshelled so this can only be easier !

The cage will be swapped over but the interior will be freshly painted as with get cage. I will get a progress thread up for it at some point.

Ahh forge day. Are you taking yours on track or? I'll be up there with my astra, will keep an eye out!

There's a track day the Monday, through someone we know. They have booked the circuit out for the day. Can pop up then. Apparently there are some 306's going round aswell!

I'm sure Simon Farmers Car was worth 4k two years ago ...
I'm sure 15k was spent on Simon Farmers car !!!
I've spent so much on total front & rear Suspension & diff & wheels / tyres /brakes & I've not touched the engine on mine !!! Thousands even....all original Peugeot bits
Wish I now would of bought someone else's finished car for 7k ...would save me a fortune in the end !!!!

Sadly Simon Farmers car hadn't been used for a long Time & the new owner needs to re shell it because of the rust ...
