My wheel bolts really do look like s**t, and I fear they are going to let down my freshly refurbished cyclones.

Is there a preferred/recommended way of cleaning the bolts?

My idea was throw them in some coca cola over night, dry them off one by one in the morning, then lacquer them. Thoughts?

Cheers,

Pebbles Thumbs up

My autosmart alu shine always brings good condition ones up mint.

If the shiny coating is chipped etc I'd just try and find better replacements tbh.

I made a full set up by using brand new spares from within the locking bolt boxes in 306s I've had.

As mentioned once the coating has been knocked off over the years you'll not get them back mint from cleaning.

Wtf... wheel bolts are £4.60 odd each from Pug. Guess they dont call them "Main stealers" for nothing.

    Plastic caps it is then.

At the roadside p**sing around trying to remove plastic caps, you'll soon wish you'd bought some bolts LOL

they'll do on very late cyclones, as they had a larger bore hole and a standard taper seat spare wheel.
