took delivery of composite today , roughly about 80sq/mtr of material consisting of kevlar , carbon/kevlar and carbon fibre , so plenty material to make whatever for car , will be making dimma/maxi kit in next few weeks for car when gnrlee comes over for weekend , so will be composite wings /quarters and bumpers being made nice and light Twangy has attached the following image: ________________________________________ wayne mcardle |

I thought about this! And wondered if it would work but using a fridge motor! wasn't sure if it would work or not,... Do the parts suck into all the corners ok? I take it shapes have to be as flat as possible? Great work!!!!! ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

so decided to renew membership as will haveloads of parts to sell shortly and thourght would be good place to list first , gnrlee came over last week with his newly acquired maxi moulds , so we set about making in carbon/kevlar as lot stronger than grp , all items were vacuumed so as to take out air pockets and managed to make both back quarters and both front wings and also front bumper , gnrlee has put up a few photos of some panels allready on his exterior listings allready but quick photo of front bumper after pulling from mould , have started fitting body kit allready so will add photos , shortlyTwangy has attached the following image: ________________________________________ wayne mcardle |

It would be great if I could have a kit ready for sale by the winter to sell so all you boys and girls wanting to go widetrack can have your cars ready for next year's season! Birk is lending me his back bumper! The splitter though I could do with! i'm 90% sure the paint wouldn't get wrecked but if it did how about I got it repainted Professionally for you? Wouldn't you want that in Carbon anyway? ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

Nur offered me it in carbon for half price and should have said yes but didn't want to give that c**t a penny more if my money. The splitter is covered in stone chips any way but if your offering to do me a carbon one for free for borrowing it I'll be more than happy to do that lol Its getting it to you in one piece that I would be worried about! |

I'll be driving from Colden Common to Armthorpe on bank holiday monday (29th) if you want a free courier service between them two locations?Depending on how things go with someone i'm seeing down there I may be able to offer a similar service several weeks later, but probably not if i end up further in the friendzone EDIT: Sorry for going off-topic, progress is awesome as always Wayne! ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |
