Dont need sliders for an mot. Fixed seats are fine as long as they are secure.

I was looking for side mount sliders for my Cobra's, but no one had them in stock. Had to build my own eventually.

Just make a new U shaped bar that is wider than the one that is supplied with the runners

Bought the sliders off £bay, not brilliant quality but only one side locks, so the locking mechanism is just on one runner. Only thing is now that i have put it all in, is that i sit too high up. It would have been about 30mm lower without the runners.

That is an issue since I'm so tall. I need to be low. I'll have to look into this some more

Maybe put the sliders on the side of the seat between the sidemounts??

The single locking sliders are a bit sketchy anyway as the chair can twist, as long as your not intending to extend the seats fully on the runners it should be fine because if you do it might be a little too much stress on the seat inserts
