Does everyone just use a standard belt or can you buy any form of uprated / stronger one? I've seen several SC kits using a Green belt before and the one that's currently on mine doesn't look like any old off the shelf £8 belt to be honest. I'm gonna replace it before pugfest as it squeaks slightly when cold sometimes. ________________________________________ Black power baby! They last pretty well, what kills them is when the idler pulley bearings start to fail causing the pulleys themselves to tip putting side load on the belt as this chews them up really quickly. Buy good quality Dayco or Gates belts for the longest life in the first place, and check the tensioner and idler pulleys regularly.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. The green ones are the Gates Green stripe ones which are designed for supercharger use and they do them in various sizes. Im currently trying to source a 6pk1165 but they aren't easy to get in the uk. |
