What are these like for bhp compared to standard? I.e. do they reduce bhp, increase or does it stay about the same? Got one on my Cherry Rallye I just bought

3ish BHP gain?

Not entirely unreasonable if its the whole system up to, or including the manifold I suppose Dunno

Just the supersprint backbox sorry, I heard it was supposed to reduce the bhp
Mines just got a single exit rather than twin exit too unlike the one in the link
Im pretty sure its this one - http://www.supersprint.com/en/IT/prod-c-95-6042-13194-peugeot_306_20_rallye____98_E28093E280BA.aspx

Typically with aftermarket exhausts you gain slightly more top end and lose low-down grunt as they are less baffled and allow the free flowing of air but then have less backpressure for scavenging exhaust gases and are not specifically tuned to the pulses of exhaust gases like the standard exhaust is.

However, with just a backbox, the difference will likely be so small that your perception of the difference due to the noise will likely have a greater effect on how the car feels to drive.

The difference will most likely be unnoticeable. Do you still have a cat fitted?

Edit: What he said Smile

I suppose your right Retropug, most likely wouldnt fell the difference, just the noise, even more so I have a k&n induction kit on it from 2003 haha, that must be losing me some low end torque/power haha
Nope I still have the cat, not worth it for the expense of mid range torque

Has it been cleaned?
If it hasn't it might be worth doing!

Exposed cones really do sound good though.

Exposed cones attached directly to the throttle body get massive heat soak. That will hinder performance somewhat. Standard setup is good Yes

They are acceptable on the bottom of the standard inlet pipe with a decent feed of cold air.
Or at least I noticed no difference in performance with my 25% of an airbox.

On the end of the TB you also have a very short inlet tract which isn't ideal either.

Yeah I've got a puddle-sucker on the Ph.1...I've made a shield for it but it still scares me a bit.

Yeah, it does sound good though.
However, with std. induction and my full, no holes genuine exhaust it was also lovely and quiet...considering refurbing the zorst and an airbox somehow.
