Hi, I'm trying to gather the required bits to rebuild my engine, currently the crank, pistons and conrods are built up. It still needs crank seals and everything else.

Peugeot list an 'Engine gasket kit/set' part number 0197 w2. I've spoken to my local peugeot dealer and they have never supplied one and cannot tell me what it contains. Does anyone know what exactly it contains?

Basically it's an engine gasket with every gasket you need. Surprised your dealer has never sold one.

This is probably a dump question since it states 'gasket set', any seals included would you know?

Probably the cost of genuine put people off.

My local main dealer reckons I'm the only person that regularly buys axle bits.

Interestingly, it seems as if you have to buy the head gasket separately then.

Rather odd, seeing as it's an "engine gasket set" and has all the others included.

No worries. I may actually have a spare one here if you haven't ordered one from Pug yet...

Yeah, it doesn't include the head gasket. It's incase you need a repair size HG and not a standard thickness one.
