There are correct in diameter 18mm but look to be around 15mm too short.
The arms themselves fit, but the joints throw the steering out all over

Or so I thought!!I did the original work on the car on the side of the road at night with a head torch (Ive no drive or garage) and I bludgeoned the bolts into place on the universal joint to hub carriers. Because I was not happy with how the bolts felt, or looked , I set about replacing them today and I found that the problem is still with the crappy vetech universal joints.. The security groove in the UJ is in totally the wrong place. It is roughly about 10mm too far 'up' the shaft of the UJ . If the UJ is fully 'home', the top of the UJ shaft sits out of the hub carrier and almost touches the abs ring. If I line up the bolt with the security groove of the UJ, the UJ sits out of the hub carrier by 10mm. Any ideas? GSF are not good in my books anymore |

V-tech stuff is utter s**t! buy cheap, buy twice end of story. It's a ball joint by the way, steering columns and prop shafts use universal joints ________________________________________ www.bridgecraftmotorsport.co.uk |

Buy a better brand elsewhere. ECP do Lemforder ones for about £12. CP4L will be marginally cheaper but depends how much of a rush you are in. I bought some Delphi ones @ £8 each delivered from Mister Auto. They messed up my order the first time but did sort it without quibble so I'd use them again. You'll probably find that the bushes in your Vtech arms will probably not last very long either. If I was you I'd probably return the lot for a refund if possible. ________________________________________ |

OK thanks for the help Is there anyway of pin pointing where GSF have gone wrong as they dont list another joint for the 6 at all and both of the other joints are wrong? A right waste of my time on my back over a curb in the dark ffs! |
