Sorry I've not been on here for a while .
I've also been skint & working like a dog saving up for my Suspension mods front & rear...temptation nearly got the better of me with the Engine ..when I always wanted the Car handling much better first !
Luckily just had a nice PPI payment ...thank god Big grin

Would like to say a (Massive) big Thank-you to Jord294 / Andy Yesterday who has sold me a Exchanged 6 totally refurb axle including 21mm bars stnd ARB ...fixed Mounts & fully coated swing arms & new abs sensors & Bilstein rear group N shocks & coated new Disc covers ...it looks like a piece of ART !!!!
Anyone who's after a Axle please give this guy a call really friendly & such a smooth sale !
Just got to fit it now ..

Yesterday Ordered some Tarox rear Discs & Ferodo DS2500 pads just to finish it off .
Only use the car on Castle Coombe twice a year & the rest of the time weekends on the road with my 14yr son so had to be sensible .
Had stnd rear end lowered 40mm & front Spax off Velor last time & was very impressed with how it handled considering .
Was a tiny to low on the front with 17inch 205/40/ Toyos for me though ...I'm going 30mm now all round.!
The 330Ash brakes did make things easier round Coombe though .

Also Just ordered my last item Bilstein Front Dampers & Eibach springs to match the rear better ...hopefully the car will handle even Better than it did last time without all the money spent LOL
And some stainless rear brake hoses ....

I will get some pics up next week when it's all here & we are fitting it & a update on how it handles...
Big thanks too everybody on here & hope to see you or some of you at Coombe soon Thumbs up

PS...Jord294 / Andy don't give up on the axles m8 ...that would be a massive loss to us all Thumbs up

Fair play to Andy his work is awesome, I just with I had the patience he had to do work on my own car. I could never do something like that to my own beam. Luckily he was a few messages (and a few hundred quid) away.

Also meant that since I get to come from South Wales to North Wales I got to drive on some of the best roads I've ever driven on!

I need an excuse to go back up there now with all the suspension mods I've done back on the car. Maybe once I finish building this engine I'll be able to buy the 23.5mm bars and 30mm ARB and take a spin back up!

Got a fully rebuilt beam, 21mm with standard arb at the minute.

Check out my thread for what I've done. In the process of building a high boost engine for track days now Big grin

All the best Thumbs up
Done that with 1974 Mini !!!

It just seems to me that people who are doing that on here end up getting fed up quickly ?
So I'm trying to keep it a bit stealth & low key ish ....he says with white 17mo5 & 330 ash breaks & Tarox drilled grooved rear discs ....PMSL Whistle

I've got 330mm under mine but I've got 16" so it handles better. Not quite 15" but it'll do for the brake upgrade
