Hi guys, guess what? yep you guessed it - let down again! arrrrggghhh! wtf is wrong with these people? i can't even be arsed to go through all the 5hite on this but its still not been painted yet! i reckon i've been p1555ed about waiting to get this painted for at least 18 months, probably longer Shock
So, its now booked in locally and i'm being told to get it over to them this Saturday afternoon, fingers, toes and knackers crossed 3rd time lucky. I'll keep you informed.

Hi all, SHE'S PAINTED!!!!!!! Had the call today to say it's ready to pick up. I'm going down to the paint shop tomorrow to pick up all the little bits like the mirror covers, hockey sticks, side skirts and front and rear bumper. I will bring all those bits back home and put them in the garage for safe storage, then just need to arrange recovery down to Carl Chambers to put it all back together for me. He can do in days what it would take me to do in months plus haven't got the time or the space here to do it really. really excited about having it back on the road absolutely can't wait to get it done. I'll get some pictures up as soon as it's done.
Cheers Thumbs up

All sorted Big grin she'll be picked up this Saturday lunch time from the paint shop to go straight down to Carl's place, i'll follow it down with the 35 tons of parts to be put back in/on it. More good news is that my classic insurance has come down in price, £172 fully comp, up to 3000 miles a year, agreed valuation and buy back clause in the event of an accident - god forbid!! CAN'T WAIT! Love

SHE'S FINISHED!! Hi all, can't believe we're finally here but just shy of 5 years and she's actually finished! Picking her up on Sunday morning, got a nice 3 hour drive home, really can't wait to get back in and have a drive. really need to say a MASSIVE thank you to Carl Chambers for all his help and expertise. I've said it before but I will say again that if anybody needs any work doing on their 306 I can't recommend Carl highly enough, thanks Carl. Also a big thank you to Ryan (pug-306) for all his help as ever. Hopefully a few pictures will appear on here sometime soon - not posted buy me obviously as I've no idea whatsoever of how to do it! Thanks for reading guys. Thumbs up

Well she's home at last but my god what a journey back! Left mine at 6.30 pm to go down to Carls, I think there must be some kind of road works competition on nationally, they were bloody everywhere! So 12 miles on the m6 south at 50mph, followed by several more bits on the A14 and even down to 40mph for god knows how long. Having said that didn't do too bad, got to Carls at 9.10pm. So after much dribbling - have to say she's stunning but I am very biased - we set off at 9.45pm. Had a big grin on my face most of the way back, she drives very very well, and the exhaust note is just great, especially when you drop a gear or 2 through a tunnel. 3 of the roads home had been closed and about 6 junctions on that bloody A14 had been shut, couldn't even tell you the way we came home, we must have gone through 10 villages stuck out in the middle of nowhere, but I loved the entire thing. Anyway, eventually pulled on the drive at 1.15 am this morning. I want to say a huge thanks to Carl again for all the hard work he's put into sorting the Rallye for me - great job mate, thanks so much.

Looks stunning Paul, really does and a credit to all the hard work and effort that's gone into it. My only very minor dislike about the car is the non standard boot latch badge and those gay wind deflector things! Just a personal thing but still a stunning Rallye!

Thanks Al. Gay deflectorsLOL - I know what you mean but I like 'em tbh, and to be fair they really do work well, when the window is down you can't feel any wind. As for the badge, I must object most strongly sir, I love it, its just a subtle little touchCool Thanks for looking Thumbs up
