I could be interested in this if its a proper one but guessing from the title 'btcc style', the price and the pics It's not actually one from the touring cars but a home made job? ________________________________________ Ryan |

Let me have a think. All I need for the VLR is a fuel rail and TB adapter and maybe to move my alternator too.________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

Could I just swap all the parts from the orginal setup on to this ? Would that work or does it need a stand alone ecu to get the most from it ? ________________________________________ Old pugs don't die they just get faster |

Mapping would see the best from this but would run on standard setup fine. Cant remember who it was but someone has tried and tested it________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

Yeah it was me, big power loss if you just bolt one of these to an otherwise standard engine, it needs to be fitted as part of a raft of other modifications, pocketed or forged pistons, hotter cams, remap etc etc. that never happened on mine so I took it back off and sold it. You loose 15-20 ft/lbs of torque midrange then power increases at top of the rev range but overall on a standard car the BTCC inlet will make you slower. It will fly if you do the other mods too though, I think estimates were around the 220-230 bhp mark with hot cams and decent pistons/rods allowing some higher rpm.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. Yeah I guess so, if you're going to the trouble of doing the bottom end work to allow 8k, and high valve lift/long duration then it makes no sense to hold back on the cams.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies.
