Hi I have a little issue with my gaz coilovers on my dimma
The top adjustable knob on my front shockers as come loose so I carnt loosen it too adjust the dampness
I small spot weld on the top would fix it for sure but I'm not too shore on welding on shockers
Is it safe too weld

Err, that little knob is part of a shaft that runs all the way down the inside of the damper - if it's 'come loose' then it's broken...

Yup! Sad

I snapped the top off my KW damper and found out it goes all the way through the body, to the valve at the bottom of the strut. Rebuild time!

The knob in question threads off when u twist it.
It was tack welded before but I filed it down too stop it from denting the underside ov my bonnet
I've only just got the same shocker back from gaz
It was leaking oil from the top. The shockers have probably only covered 200 miles from new
Starting too think these gaz shocks are w## k

I'll get a pic tomorrow I'm back in garage ripping me gti6 bk out (knackerd rings)
The bar that runs down the shaft is still in tackt just a little knob off the top the winds off
