This is confusing me, folks.... Any similar experiences or insights into why it has happened?

I don't think a weld or joint has gone, but will be double checking at the weekend...

If its anything like mine when its hot (I.e lots of traffic or youve just wound it up through 3 gears all guns blazing), It booms.

Is it at all to do with when you are giving it an italian tune up?

Mild steel will be a bit better, but obviously means a new exhaust.

Hmm not sure...

Anyhoo, what's an Italian tune up?

Not going back to mild... Can't afford another system and sure I wouldn't get £300 for this one...

Italian tune up as in caning your car around everywhere. For about 10minutes

If the baffles were shot you would hear them rattling around inside

Depends how the box is packed,
But stainless do resonate more than mild steel systems
