bit of an update....had some temperature issues which have now been resolved thanks to a shiny new thermostat now runs at a cool 80c...much better!!! other than that just had new map and second hand icv and new coolant temp sensor!! been going really well other than that. had a rattle from the o/s top mount so changed that too! just trying to get some spacers and long bolts to put my superleggera alloys on and also have new centre caps for the alloys as they are shot lol looking good back on the clones but I like the lightness of the 15" oz superleggeras and they look pretty damn cool as well!! il get the bits off ebay to get them fitted. also looking to sell up soon as I want a 200sx s14 fancy something turbo, although if I could I would not sell the rallye and keep as iv spent so so much money and time on it be very sad to see her go when she eventually does but hey ho needs must. been a great car to and a right hoot to drive!!! not really done anything interesting to it atm, but if I keep for a lil longer I probably will lol I always get carried away with my "little" projects lol oh also in start up occasionally it will hunt and make a loud whooshing/sucking sound from inlet any ideas????? ________________________________________ cherry rallye daily (the money pit) |

Well decide to treat her as the n/s front bearing is developing play and I have 2 at work along with 2 new hubs.also saw the inner cv boot has split and shat its grease all over my g/box,subframe etc etc so have ordered a new boot!!! Also bought new top mount as it rattles,so was going to change that also as would be apart, oh how simple that all sound lol...... problems track rod end lock nut seized and securing nut! Circlip for bearing rusted solid. bearing well and truly in there,Im talking 3+ tonne lol got it all out and back together...sweet but the threads stripped out the knuckle, damn luckily have a replacement knuckle coming tommorrow so will sort that and do top mount tommorrow! Also got some crystals coming for me to blackmask as the coating has started coming of the outside of the lens and they were the first I did and are not 100% and like to put a fresh det on!!! Get some pics tommorrow been a long day lol ________________________________________ cherry rallye daily (the money pit) |

Right got it all sorted but I could only get 16mm hubs so had to buy 16mm ball joints and new pinch bolts!fitted a new bearing and hub to knuckle and its all good now!! I have to swap the other side to 16 also at some point and il get new track rod end toi as then that side will be all new aswell. also done my set of fresh black mask headlamps so will have to switch my hid kits over to them but thats no bother really. glad she back on the road (although only been one day,I still missed her lol) ________________________________________ cherry rallye daily (the money pit) |
