Hi just a quick question, has anyone got any idea how much I should be paying for having my inlet manifold cut down and welded?
I've got one quote for 100quid just to weld it and I thought that was a bit steep? I know it's ally but still.
While we're at it, has anyone got any (usefull) tips on how to do it? Like how far I can cut back etc etc?
It's for a supercharger install btw. Eaton m45.

Spoox have a service that you send your manifold to them and the'ye return it cut down and welded. Its a rip off price but they show a picture and your be able to see how they have done it.

Ok thanks guys, I was warned off spoox by some, but those pics do look good.
Maybe my price isn't so bad.

For £100 I'd expect that to be cut, welded and dressed inside and out. I rekon we'd charge around £40 for justthe welding so complete job for £100 sounds about right.

Length is entirely up to you and how much space you need, you may not need to shorten it at all??

Righto yea I was thinking about 100 for complete job too, I def think its needs shortening, I've mocked up where I want the charger and there's def not enough room. In fact I was waiting to see how the manifold turned out before making my final bracket for charger. I'm using the existing belt and the charger will pretty much take the place of the power steering. I'm fairly sure that will work?
P.s thanks for your tip about dump valve Allen I've got one now, going to get second soon.
