As I'm trying to make the Dimma's engine bay as clean and tidy as I can I'm wanting to do something with the heat shield that bolts to the rear cam cover, the exhaust manifold and my metal heat shield that I got off of Simon James, obviously ceramic coating would be my first choice but as that will cost me £700 to get done I'm thinking about getting them all polished....
Can anyone see any disadvantages of getting this done??

And yes I am a tart Thumbs up

Black Heat wrap the manifold will look better, if you polish it you will have to keep on top of it polishing it all the time I would have thought

Na don't like heat wrap to be fair, I would rather paint it in vht paint but was thinking if it was polished it would then get a nice burnt purple blue tinge to it over time, plus I'm going to be cleaning this every time it gets taken out

Get it chromed if you feel like it mate I think that would be the easiest thing but that's gonna cost a lot too! if you got it polished it may go blue after a while but you'd need to keep polishing it for that to happen.

What material is the one from simon james?
If its stainless steel then send it to somewhere like anapol for electro polishing.
That comes up beautifully.

It's stainless steel, is it like a brushed finished, been so long since I seen it I can't exactly remember but it came up a beauty with a quick hand polish using metal cleaner/polish.
