Quick question.

I have a new (to me) pattern center section. However, it refuses to attach to the cat. The sleeve on the cat that fits into the center box is slightly too big (or the center box slightly too small), and the flanges are about 1 1/2 apart.

I've cleaned up the sleeve and inner bore of the mid section, but still no joy.

Does anyone have any ideas about the best way forward? At at the moment, I'm considering cutting a slot each side of the sleeve so it can crush down a bit. But that could be because its really annoying me at the moment!

Can someone suggest a less bodgy way!?

Cheers

Get rid of the pattern one and get a genuine pug one, much better quality and will fit without having to bodge it.

Sadly, now its bought it will be going on the car by hook or by crook. Plus, it is second hand, though in good condition so it clearly fitted on the car it came off of.

Part of the problem is I'm struggling to get the car high enough on the drive to get decent access. Day off tomorrow though, so I'll have a proper go at it then.
