Good evening all.
I have recently acquired a '99 306 Rallye, and thought I'd share it with the rallye enthusiast.
This car has been owned for the past 10years by my business partner and has cover less than 85000 miles.
I remember him getting this car as a mint example, with 53,000 miles on the clock back in 2003. but slowly over the years it had dulled to a very sorry state. And finally parked up and neglected when the heater matrix failed over a year ago.
This weekend we done a deal on a v6 4motion bora, and he threw the rallye in for the best priceWink

So the plan is to get it back to the standard it was in when I first saw it all those years ago.
I had made a list of parts needed and it's mainly small stuff that breaks through wear and tear. Interior light, mirror cover, bits like that. it needs a full respray, which is being done this week. Heater matrix and there's a power steering problem, burst pipe or some such thing. Not a great deal, and when done will be back in its prime! Thumbs up

Hi V5 and welcome bud. Great to have another Rallye on board. What year and colour is yours?

Cheers, Paul.

Welcome Smile

The power steering could be the cooling pipe which runs along the front cross member behind the bumper as these are prone to corrosion.
Is the interior light a problem with the light unit itself or the door pin switches?

Hi, thanks Paul. I'm a Vw guy normally, but into all unusual cars really.
The rallye is a '99 in cherry red.

Thanks, I haven't looked into the steering problem yet, but I'll be sure to check that first, it would make sense for it to be that, as it was sat at the back of our unit for a year, and it's very damp there.
The light had a couple of clips broken. Got a new one last night.Thumbs up

Thanks mik,
It's a cool car, and i've seen it deteriorate over the past years. And feel obliged to put it back to a decent standard.
I fact, it's well and truly jumped the que ahead of my '84 mk2 golf gti, and my '88 rs turbo.

Aaron will be on you relentlessly until you make an appearance at a meet. LOL

Once you've been once, you will be contracted to it for the rest of your Peugeot life, like the commitment of a protection racket. Laugh

I run a Vw club garage in sittingbourne. Private property, and as long as people behave you won't get shot at by the old boy who owns the groundThumbs up
