Just confirming that this is just held on by clamping force of the crankshaft pulley bolt? Just seems a bit odd, never seen it done without a keyway before!Cheers |

Sounds like you have the old two piece item, il see if I can dig out the part number for the one piece newer item, oh and there should be a woodruff key! ________________________________________ Team Running Engine again!Team Negative Camber! I didn't think there was a key on the older style hence people change to the newer as It's considered better.Pretty sure your right that it is just clamped by the pulley bolt to be honest but It's been a while since I've had one apart ________________________________________ Ryan |

Ryan - There is a key on both parts. However, on the early type it's only the 'spacer' part which is keyed with the woodruff, and it's the clamping force which turns the sprocket. On the later style, the spacer is keyed again, but this time the spacer and sprocket are one piece so the sprocket is keyed by the fact the spacer (which is now part of it) is keyed. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
