Right i went to fit my sandwich plate to my block yesterday but i want to do away with the heat excahnger tho and just run the sandwich plate so it will give me extra clearance from the rad and dont see much point keeping the heat exchange. i need to find a 20mm threaded adapter i can bolt straight into the block the bolt my mocal sandwich adapter too if you know what i mean?

This is exactly what i have ready to fit

Any suggestions on and thoughts on the best way to go about this or the best setup to run mainley on track

Yep pug do a threaded insert which is available for a pound or so and you thread that into the block.

Servicebox will show it against a 1.6 205 GTi. I have it written down at home so can dig out the number if you have no luck.

Remember thinking when it turned up that it's not quite as long as I'd like it to be. Need to screw half of it in with a load of thread lock then bolt the plate on after its gone off

Mine is to the right of my intercooler. Bit of a faff to get it there but it worked. Most people mount it dead in the middle with the standard fans there iirc.
