Yeah seen it but dont they run different top mounts? I have the 6/'VTS' shocks fitted and feel so much better, yes they won't be quite as good as using B8's but for costs they are perfect. I used some Ph 1 VTS springs and shocks and its lowered the front by about 25mm and was a very cheap mod to do. The 205 top mounts fit the VTS/6 shocks fine and while they are off you might as well get some SKF top mount bearings, the quality ones.One upgrade i have fitted on mine is a 309 gti front ARB with the VTS/6 rear 24mm ARB cut down and re-splined the 205 size and both match each other perfectly. Although most just use the rear ARB alone, just depends on how you like it and how you drive etc. ________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. I have been looking for a 309 feont arb but cant seem to find one any where unless you know somewhere? A place in oadby does them mate.http://www.torsionperformance.com/ Places like pug 1 off, shenpar etc use him for bars etc. Try escortbuffy off ebay he has a few 309 gti's breaking. Bushes need to be in good nick though, I soaked mine in silicone grease for a few month before project warranted them to be fitted. I'd personally go with just a bigger rear arb at first and see what you think. 309 front arb bushes aren't available anymore and aftermarket ones don't fit so bare this in mind if you do try and source one. Thanks lads. Bushes I will be buying new poly ones as I am replacing everything on the car anyway. No big deal if I cant find one for the front straight away, can always change it at a later date. I will have a look around when I get on the computer tho.I will be running 309 wishbones with poly race wishbone bushes with hopefully rosejoint ball joint, BakerBM group N engine mounts and group A fork bush and when I find a decent set of coilovers with adjustable top mounts. The car is mainley going to be for track with very little road use. Sounds like a big waste of time that could be spent on actually improving the car As for the 309 front ARB, yes some like some don't, since I have a heavier engine fitted it does make a difference to how it handles compared to the skinny 205 oe one. Thing you have to remember is a lot of the bushes are old and worn which will make a difference to how it performs, which maybe why some just don't like them due to poor fitment etc. I have spotted some black 309 gti arb bushes here, not tried them though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380663918541?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 As said many times, Pug wishbone bushes are the best you can get and are more then enough for any motor sport you may wish to partake in. I have 2 sets of 309 wishbones here and 1 set of 205 wishbones so it will be easy enough to swap if they need to be. Trail and error, learn from your mistakes. Anyway back on track hopefully i will have a set of KW v2 coilovers with KAD adjustable top mounts. Just need to wait for a reply off the lad selling them.
