Does anybody make one of these? Just to make it clear im talking about the pipe in between the inlet and the air filter. I would think that somebody must have done it? But cant seem to find one. Id assume it would look similar to this....

im after something similar. I have a silicone hose for my induction but i might get a screw in bit of pipe so i can fit the ICV hose into it.

With the price of that, I'm sure people would rather just put a separate filter on the ICV. I know I would.

Also thats a good idea I didnt even think of that! Also the price wasnt really relevant that was just one that I had found. I assume they could be made up more cheaply

I think I may have missed the original point then, I thought you just meant a 90 degree bend with the extra point for the ICV? You can get a 90 bend from ASH, I've got one now which is different size at each end (Can't remember which way round, think it's something like 70/83mm for the throttle body/induction filter)

You can see what I mean about the filter on the ICV from that photo

PicsDunno

How does it clear top hose?

As you can see in my pic a sharper bend would foul the pipeYes

I'm in London and my car is having spray work done back at home in Llanelli. I couldn't be further away from it. I'm back in two weeks if that is any use? IIRC Because I have taken the snorkel off and had a cold feed from the front fog then there is room for the bend to go straight onto the TB and then I used a longer elbow to take the induction further down. That's from what I remember though. And I have been known to be an idiot

My old cone filter used a 90 degree ally bend. It didnt aim down but backwards to where the battery would normally be. I think it's very close to the rad hose but dont think it touches, i did keep cutting the ends of the bend to get it to sit right though.
I think i read on here that it's ideal to keep as much of the inlet as metal rather than silicon etc as they absorb some of the induction pulses.

Now i'm using a similar setup but with a pipercross viper filter, made a nice 182bhp 155lb ft from memory on a standard engine (as far as i'm aware). Smile

Just using a little filter for the ICV.

182 on a standard engine? Hmmmm. Not from just an induction kit anyway.

I bought the engine second hand from someone off here, was sold as standard. I've not looked at the cams but it runs a bit lumpy and hates 2k rpm, using my old ecu with it.

The exhaust is less than ideal, the centre box has a bore of 2". Doh

You can buy little take offs quite cheaply that attach to silicone hoses if you really wanted a take off for the ICV.

I used a 90 degree one on mine, but think I used an extra bit of straight pipe. 90 straight off the TB doesnt work...

I also just cut a hole in the straight bit of silicone pipe for the ICV pipe.

Also, with that setup to a nice air feed, and a decat free flowing exhaust made 180 bhp on 2 different rollers.

Obviously always take RR results with a pinch of salt, but showed my engine was healthy, and made power over standard.
