I noticed the other day that the PAS cooling pipe that runs along the front cross member was weeping.
There are 2 different pipes, 4040 0N and 4013 39 since PRO 08849, according to my chassis number I need the earlier and more expensive of the 2 which is irrelevant since the parts guy told me that this can no longer be supplied.
Does anyone know the difference between the 2 and can the later type be fitted in place of the earlier one?

Just remove it and link the pipes...

Thought of that too but it must be there for a reason.

Loads of people removed them (including me) and I've never had any issues with the fluid boiling.

Even with the setup my car runs, I've had it removed since I first went low boost with no issues. Yes

And Stan has to go lock to lock when he is moving it around the garage.....

Make sure it is clamped up tight, I had a slight weep from where I joined mine together

Yup mines been on track in silly heat before and I removed mine about 4 years ago due to it rotting through. Also removed the one on my old red 6 when I bought it with front end damage as it had been partly crushed.

Had a customers phase 1 6 in the other day for a new radiator and I noticed it was p**sing out half way along it so did the same to that one for him as well. You won't notice its gone....
