Not had a lot of spare time over the last week or so to get anything done, Managed to prime my slam panel and see where i was going to mount the oil cooler.

Had plenty of time to crack on today tho. Got a 306 HDI box nice and cheap yesterday so painted it up and put that onto the engine as my 1.9 gti box has the lift up reverse sized in up bit sized into the box and i cant get it out.
GAZ GHA coilovers arrived through the week along with a single wiper what will both get fitted through the week when i get my hubs back from having new bearings fitted.

Today i got the engine back in and started tidying the interior a little too. Things are actually coming together now Big grin Just waiting on a R5 Turbo rad coming now from rallyeash Thumbs up

Looking good! 306 shafts won't work I doubt.

306 shafts are around 40mm longer than 205 shafts so no they won't fit. Making good progress! Why've you gone for a saxo dash? Sorry if I've missed the reason

Just asking as I have a few gti6 shafts I could have used. I will just buy new shefts as there only £35 with 2 year warranty from J&R on ebay.
I am using a saxo dash because the one that came in yhe 205 was a mess and the plastic clock surround was all cracked and I refuse to pay £40+ for a bit of plastic so I got a saxo dash nice and cheap.
Gilesy it took me a little while to click on there till I seen the Coilovers Laugh my ass off

How did you mask the headlights?, was the glass sealed in?. For the driveshaft I used 309 ones with 309 arms and a BX box. Because of the box I had to change the near side shaft inner cup to a 306 one so it fitted properly, otherwise the 309 cup doesn't slide all the way in because of the diff.

Just used a heat gun around the edge of the glass to melt the rebber seal then just pull off the glass. You will have to mask off the inside of the light. Will more than likely just run 205 shafts and the 205 box once I sort a diff. Need to figure out the linkages on the hdi box as one of the selectors is different to the 205 one.

Had about half hour after work today before it got dark! fed my brake lines through the car to the hydraulic handbrake and cut a couple carbon bits too. Removed the mirrors and mad up some blanks ready for some F1 style mirrors and some vent blanks for the dash. No time to do anything with these cold dark nights Sad*

Little update. Nothing exciting tho Sad I received my R5 Turbo alloy rad from Ash a couple days ago, Not had time to see where its going to sit yet but its there, 12" fan fits on there perfect too. Got 1 strut on the car as well as that's all i could be bothered to do today LOL Oh and i have just won a set of aero catch locking pins about 10 mins ago, just need a bonnet to fit them too now, then again i might stick them on the boot?
