Very few people (none) have done this as far as I know. You could use wide spacers, or if you have large amounts of disposable income, pugsport do stuff that would serve purpose. Out of interest, what are you intending to make with this? Wide arch 306 for looks? Or would you be wanting to use this as a performance car? ________________________________________ 2005 Peugeot 206 GTI 1802008 BMW K1200R |

The 406 has independent suspension and not a beam so I'm interested in how others have done it if they have?? |

Why would you want to? Front wants to be wider than the rear! ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

As welshpug can't afford to be here I'll briefly stand in...... 306 rear beams are independant! 406s use a coil spring and arm arrangement rather than trailing arm and torsion bars. It's completely different and won't fit unless you're handy with a welder. ________________________________________ www.bridgecraftmotorsport.co.uk |

Well it is sort of independent in that each wheel station can compress individually, but a beam type suspension as found on the 306, Golf etc is probably better described as semi-independent, as it is rigidly connected to the other wheel station. The MacPherson strut setup at the front is fully independent. And back to the OP question, can't see what you are attempting to accomplish by putting a 406 axle on there. Pug engineers did a good job refining quite a basic design and it works very well. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |

The 306 rear beam is fully independent. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. No not fully, no suspension is fully independent, it has an ARB that connects each arm.Why on earth would you want it, would be far easier to get satchell to fit a hybrid evo system like he has on 205's. ________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. It may not be dynamically independent, but it is geometrically independent, which is how the systems are generally described. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments.
