..To call them by their correct name.

I got my hand on an AEM wideband whatsit from Pugheaven today (cracking service - thanks) and I'll be wanting to wire it up at some point so I've done a bit of digging around and the junior power timer connectors are what I need.

My DTA has the handy sockets which Sandy Brown added when he made the loom.

It would appear that one is for the power and ground and the other to talk to the ECU perhaps. Only need the first plug connected but meh I'll do em both while I'm there.

Found the male connectors I need:

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140823907137?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

I'm hoping I can crimp those pins with a standard pair of crimp pliers? Or do I need something a bit more specialist?

You need proper pliers to do them to a decent standard, especially in a car, you can get them for about £20 iirc, bought some years ago.

Have you got a soldering iron? Once crimped just drop a dab of solder on them to secure them permanently. Be careful not to let the solder run up the wire though otherwise it can cause the wire to fail prematurely. A half decent crimp will probably do mind as long as your not yanking at the wires...

Received the connector and I imagine if I start attempting it with normal crimpers it's going to end in tears.

    Found these on eBay:

Do the appear to be the correct sort of type?

Dan out of interest did you find anywhere you can buy a male connector for these, with some wire out the end to solder the lambda sensor to?
