As above I'm looking for a cambelt cover in good condition please. Mine has burn holes in it from when it was poorly fitted after my cambelt change and the aux belt has worn it away ![]() ________________________________________ Team Nile 6![]() Team: 40.2 MPG ![]() 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ ![]() I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness ![]() |

Well then Matt, need to check which you have. I have the sliding mech type, which is the earlier one according to Dan.________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged ![]() 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

![]() ![]() ![]() Although Dan is correct about them being different between the phases they are still interchangeable but the early type ones are s**t! ________________________________________ Team Nile 6![]() Team: 40.2 MPG ![]() 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ ![]() I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness ![]() |

![]() Ok I'll try and salvage it for you. They work just fine, however the sliding mechanism interferes with the master cylinder resivour. And if Dan didn't have one I'd buy yours ![]() ________________________________________ Team Nile 6![]() Team: 40.2 MPG ![]() 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ ![]() I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness ![]() |

dangti6 wrote: gnrlee wrote: all the same ![]() Incorrect. Earlier ones have a sliding mechanism where the others have 2 nuts to the centre. Incorrect, the actual cover is the same. Early types had a bar which fitted in the vertical slot and there were two 'bobbins' which fitted through the holes and the bar slid over these to lock it in place. The later type changed the bobbins for threaded bar and you need to affix it with two M6 nuts. ![]() However the cover design is identical in both parts. ![]() ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone ![]() |

Without splitting hairs - the fitment differs, so it's worth noting as had Matt purchased CJM's on GNRLEE's advice he could have got it and found he needed the mechanism fittings to the engine also which may or may not have been supplied in it's entirety.________________________________________ ![]() |

yup, I fitted an earlier pulley on my inlet cam to make it easier to adjust, but they caught the inside of the later covers.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

there's actually three different covers, one early type till RP 7664 with the slider, then two with the nuts changing at RP 08547.08547 is when the single bolt pulleys came in. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I stand corrected then...Seeing as I did your cambelt last week Matt I can confirm that your engine has the later style pulleys, so you will be looking for a cover which is post build code 08547. ![]() ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone ![]() |
