Why did the 306 rallye not come with a red carpet? Just been out in a mates 106 ral ye and noticed how good his red carpet looked Cool also came in a 205 as well so why not carry it onto the 306 Sad
Anyone agree that they should have been available?

Wouldnt that make the rallye an ideal car for them the as only 500 were made?

All cars hit the bottom of the value ski slope and people always think they will be worth nothing forever.

I also reckon that a good 306 Rallye will be worth something in a few years time, and agree that in the last year or so it has developed a premium over an ordinary 6.

I think red carpet would have been a great idea.

But unfortunately a 306 rallye is in effect a povert spec GTi6 with some stickers.

Had they done something special to it apart from just leave bits off it would be a different story.

But then you could say that about the 106 rallye too tho, smaller and slower engine and no extras ect...

not so, because there was no quicker S1 than a rallye, there was no GTI, the XSI was barely any higher spec.

phase2 I get your point, but it really was a proper rallye homologation special following on from the S1

As more and more 306's get broken or crashed etc, the price of ours will go up but it will take years yet. Yes

Yes that is one point of view, and it is true it didn't have a specific engine or anything, and for a little extra effort they could have given it a little more power and some uber-lightweight wheels or something to make it more special.

But if you are looking for the most focussed sporty 306, it is still the best - no sunroof to compromise body rigidity, fewer electric bits to fix as the car gets older, and it is lighter if only by the deletion if a few bits. And for those of us who are tall and would look silly in a 106 it is a good choice.

So what was so good about the S16 fir them to get a blue carpet and the rallye not to get a red carpet?
Then there is the roland garros what had awefull cream and green interior with red seat belts what should have went in the rallye Cool

Rallye was an exercise to get rid cheap, not spend money.
