They aren't cheap unfortunately.

Fit larger brakes to the front and do away with them is a cheaper alternative.

While on the subject of 205 brake lines - redo the lot while you're there as the lines up behind the fuel tank are likely to be a right state by now.

Using the gears. For those more sudden stops I will open the doors and boot.

I'm fitting a new beam over the winter and at the same time I will be replacing the rear lines for the sake of the £12 it costs in materials to do so - especially the area above the tank as 9/10 they are going to be in a right state if they are the originals. Have a look on the 205 forum if you are a member and look at some photos of what people have discovered upon inspection.

While I am fitting the new lines I won't be bothering to put the compensators back in.

yes, brake lines now unless replaced are very brittle, Take a look at my FB page for a pic the tank one or most rear ones are iffy as not all can be seen when MOT'd, For the sake of a few quid your life could depend on it, split circuit or not

I can do the Bosch ones at £55.00 delivered each, or a pair for £105.00

I have GTi 6 brakes on my 1.6 205 with drums still on the rear, Could I get away with binning the 1.6 compensator as I now feel the rears are doing nothing? or even fit a bias valve in its place.
