The carbon canister valve - bin it.

The lift up reverse cable you picture - do you have a 6 speed box? If so attach it to the top of the gearbox.

That last pic is a brake compensator valve yes.

And the pipe that goes to it, just pull it all off? What does/did it do?

Remove the carbon canistor pipe and block it off with a bolt or similar.

    Hi, thanks

What does the carbon canister do?

I've checked the gearbox, there is a whole where this screws in to in the top body, but it is only a 5 speed.

    Thanks

    Reduces emmisions apparently.

The whole left behind, the breather hole? I may have a spare actually.

    Aren't some 5 speeds lift up reverse?Yes

This cable is what stops you selecting reverse gear when travelling forwards!Wink

The carbon canister is connected to the fuel tank breather on a 306, it filters fumes from tank, all cat equipped cars have themYes
So as dan says not needed on your 205Smile

you'll need that cable if you are using the car's original BE1 gearbox.

some 205's do have that charcoal canister.

the pipe is for the idle control valve, you'll need a small filter for that.

Looks like all the old wiring's been left behind the 3 pin plug normally does the water temps and oil temp on upto and around 1988 models.
Brake pipes on most 205's now if not replaced need it, Behind the tank can hide allot
