I've had my low boost set up installed for about 8 months or more, and it's always losing traction fluid from the canister.

I've changed both inlet and outlet fittings and washers.

When I changed my engine a couple of months back. I happened to turn the canister upside down, and noticed fluid escaping from the screw cap.

This is we're I assume is why the canister is covered in fluid after a drive.

The level is not to full, and the cap is tight.

Anyone else had this problem, or found a way to sort it. It's been doing it for months and just want to get it sorted now.

Thanks.

When you say the level is not too full, I take it you have been checking the level whilst the engine is idling as this is the correct procedure. Yes

Sure have, just doesn't seem to seal properly, and have seen other people have the same problem.

it doesn't seal it's a breather cap.

If I look up at mine from underneath on a ramp there is always a bit of oil dripping from the pipes and union on the bottom of the filter and reservoir however the level never goes down really so I think it's just a minor weep. There's never any oil on the top though from the cap / breather so I'm not worried about it to be honest. Have half a bottle spare so as long as its not p**sing out Thumbs up.

Its probably oil misting in the tank and escaping via the breather. You could try a different breather cap and see if that stops...

it's when the fluid froths up and expands.

It's oil, it shouldn't really be frothing! That's whats known as cavitation, and its not good!

I wouldn't waste your time, the issue isn't the cap, it will still do it as its a breather cap, as soon as the oil gets hot and expands it will come out if the overflow.
Have you been topping it up constantly?
maybe it's just overfilled and finds its own level and then you top it up so it does it again and again.

IIRC rotrex have changed the fluid levels due to this happening on o few customers set ups, they have a revised dipstick which now has a lower "full" mark on it, go onto the rotrex site (think its a pdf file) and it has a diagram showing the new recommended fluid min and max levels
