Bought this from Rich_w, think it was one of the first batch ever made. This means it is unfortunately one of the one's whereby the starter motor doesn't engage properly. It has been used on a rally car so its not been started that often compared to an everyday vehicle but there is some signs of wear on the teeth (see pic). There are some ways of using this without incurring any more wear but I'm not sure of them all, I think one way is to use a diesel starter?SOLD. ________________________________________ Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 1Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 2 Lap of the 'ring |

yeah, currently in touch with Baz but thanks for the heads up anyway. I am right in thinking it knackers the teeth on the starter rather than the flywheel aren't I? ________________________________________ Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 1Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 2 Lap of the 'ring |

You can clearly see the damage on the bottom photo. The std 6 starter motor engages on less than half the width of the teeth on the first batch flywheels. I'm lead to believe that a diesel starter engages much deeper so limits any damage.Fair play to Pete for making this clear ________________________________________ Get used to seeing the yellow one !!!Team 330™ Team "no front end or engine" Team "LIMITED EDITION" I live for the 306 sticker Team 0-60 in 6.44 & standing qtr in 14.808 @ 94.55mph all with std engine 203bhp Corolla T-Sport daily driver stealthier than Kwai Chang Caine |

Not really damage imo more of a 'mark' where the starter has engaged Bargain this at £120 imo, pop down the scrappy and pick up a hdi starter for £20 and your away ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |
