i'd usually say the M5 touring but they're all gaySMGbox aren't they? so i'd go for RS4 Yes budget?? what about an RS3?

that said round here they are one of a few cars you daren't have unless you want someone in your house for it the same night you park it up

If you can afford an M5, Get it.
M5 and Rs4 are in different leagues.

Which m5 is it?

they don't do the E39 in touring shape so it'll be the E61 shape at a guess

Indeed. Doh

In which case i assume youve looked at the running costs? They are again in a different league to a RS4. Its basically a supercar engine in a normal looking car. They can do like 9mpg in the town :/

Read this loads of good info

i can't see the RS4 being much different in real world terms. both V8's vs V10's or whatever the M5 is, 4wd vs RWD, double vanos units on the BMW but so what LOL i've had load sof problems with Vanos units and rebuilding M3 engines but so what when you're buying that sort of car you accept it's going to financial ruin you but for the 4 weeks a year when the car's not broken down they're awesome and untouchable on the road almost

Yep but still not sure i want rear wheel drive though know exactly what I'll be doing every roundabout and at £300 odd quid. rear tyre not sure I'm so keen on the m5.
Rs4 would be the v8 as i can pick one of them up with around 60000 miles for the sort of budget I'm looking at. Yep m5 would be the v10 which puts me off slightly other than noise!
Ricky Rs3 is too small and a freind who has one to be frank isn't that impressed a remapped S3 isn't far off it and it made me laugh when he was charged £600 for front pads.

Dunno, The audi will be cheaper to maintain and fuel i'd have thought, M5 is an RS6 competitor.
RS4 is in the M3's league

I did think of them but can't find any of them in estate model for non ridiculous money. the other option is a 335d m sport estate with a remap won't be far off the performance of the rs4 I wouldn't of thought.

RS4 Buckets = insurance write off Sad

Many RS4 owners with buckets have had them nicked recently and a new pair from Audi arrives as a box of bits rather than pre-assembled and costs £20k Shock

I guess budget wise you are looking at around £20k then?

20k for a pair of seats!
WTF?
I would expect a new engine to cost less that that, What was the car new? 45k?
