Testing the water really, fancy something either really old and classic or something more modern with a turbocharger attached, just bored of Pugs for the time being.

Some forum history surrounding this car, i did a deal with Carl (mech repairs) with my astor 306 and took the gti 180 as part of the deal, since then ive rebuilt all the front suspension, new top mounts, bearings and drop links, new gen pug discs on the front, OMP road and sport pad all round, new rear dampers, again Bilsteins, and its transformed the handling to something like a well fettled 306 feels.

New wheels and tyres very recently (not cheap at all), black masked headlights and recent full cambelt and water pump change. The car is quite swift, drives A1, handles well and is still as tight as a drum.

Used the car loads over the summer, as my project thread will testify. Any questions, let me know.

Had a couple of PM's asking for exact spec on suspension so i thought id do a proper list.

Front Suspension.

New Bilstein B8 Dampers
New Eibach gti180 specific lowering springs (-30mm)
New Top mounts both sides
New Top mount bearings
New Gen Pug Drop links

Rear Suspension

New Bilstein B8 Dampers
Very recent new rear beam from IM axles (supplied & fitted by Mech Repairs)
New rear beam mounts

Front Brakes

New Gen Pug front discs, with OMP road and sport front pads. Blue Calipers

Rear Brakes

New Gen Pug rear discs, OMP road and sport rear pads, Blue Yokes
New Rear disc protectors and new rear calipers (again supplied and fitted by Mech Repairs)

All receipts can be provided for the dampers/springs/etc etc as they have been expertly hidden from the wife!LOL

Wheels and tyres are a moot point it seems, the compomotives that are on it, along with the tyres, have done less than 200 miles, cost wise there hasnt been much change from £800 for them, however should you want the OE 17" wheels with the car, something can be sorted out. Please bear in mind the wife has been using the Original 180 wheels on her HDi 206 and there are some kerb marks on them, obviously from those nasty kerb fairys.

The grey Compomotives are 100% UNMARKED in any way.

Ta.

Matt
