Wondering what to do?

Having owned and driven 306 gti's for approx 6 years i have been planning to build a superhighboost 306 I have 85% of the parts but having recently bought a 205 gti6 I'm a bit stuck the thing is im tempted to start with a 205 as I'm going to save myself 200kg straight away without the extra expense of carbon fibre panels and if I do this to the 205 I could end up with a much faster more fun car. Just wondering what anyone's else's recommendations would be? I realise that to do this i will need to cage and seamweld my 205 shell to make it capable of handling the power. Just I'm building the car for fun I do own a fully caged shell that i bought of Velar but to get it how i want it needs a full respray and a lot of work to get it as good as i want it just thinking that the 205 is almost the same amount of work to get how I want it.
Help me make a decision

Do it to the 205, imo whatever lengths you go to with the 306 the 205 will always be better with the same done to that.

Is the general feeling that you can get a 205 to handle as well as a 306 then?

Yes I will buy a better car this will be last tuned one having spent well over 100k in the last 8 years on tuning. This will be my last one and want to enjoy it and remember it. So general rule of thumb is 205 more fun with a lot of danger. 306 fun and a bit safer.

12.5k per year on tuning! Thats mad Crazy

I would go for the 306 Superhigboost, as much as i like the 205 the 306 is a better looking (and safer) car Yes

It is crazy but I've done it and am learning from it now! SOS motorsports 205 didn't look to bad after he got it wrong At 100 odd with brake failure. just think that for the weight saving more than anything it's worth it. I spoke with Colin Satchell this morning and he is more than happy to build me a strong caged 205. as you can see I've placed the 306 shell up for sale so now am looking for a good condition non sunroof 205 shell now i think.

Yeah i guess if you build a strong enough cage then you will be ok.

Question is, how will you style the 205? Subtle and discreet or just like a T16?

The only way ill style it will be for usefulness if i want large wide rims then ill need wider arches so may do t16 but as Rikky says sleeper makes it more fun but there's no hiding a 15 point rollcage really is there?
