On the gti with air con, it can be a right arse to try and get the pliers on the filter and move the filter if some idiot has done it up tight with no oil on the seal.Im waiting for K and N to start doing oil filters for the 306. They have a nut welded to the end so you can just put a 13mm spanner on there and undo it. Nice and easy! |

I have one of these and it works great on most filters. The one on my '6' I change fairly regularly plus I always oil the seal, so just a pair of big pliers does the trick every time. ![]() ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone ![]() |

I have one of those 3 leg tools as well. Brilliant but of kit. For pugs the purflux tool is great as well its just a giant ring that grabs on to the indents in the end of the filter. Strap type ones are also good. 6's with AC aren't that bad. Lexus is200 are the biggest pain for such a tiny filter! Always stupid tight and can't get tools in there. Particularly as you say if some twat hasn't oil'd the seal. ________________________________________ Black power baby! I've used my dad's chain one and provided there is a reasonable amount of room around the filter to get your hands in and set it up i didn't think it was too bad.________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |
