Well some time ago i sold the Pro Race 3 from the 306, and uhmm i kinda miss them.. the guy who bought them from me said i could buy them back for the same money he paid.

Im very tempted ,since i think the 3 , its more aggresive then the 1.2

What are youre opinions?

Imo look better that the 1.2's think if I go up to '16' I'd be trying to find some 3s.

These are my old ones, first thing i bought for the 6.

sold them , and i think im gonna pick them up tomorrow... imho they look a lot meaner then the 1.2s, and show the big brakes a lot better.

The 1.2s have 2 spokes to much.

Im just a little fked if they dont clear the big brakes Wink

Don't the 3's have slightly more clearance for the calipers aswell?

Not sure , since there is kinda an extra rimedge inside the rim.. they look like they can clear huge brakes, but if im remembering correct the 4pots didnt have that much clearance, and since my new brakes are almost 2 times the size of those im not sure.

I also need to have them repainted or clearcoated, since i want them to be gloss black instead of matblack.

They still cost me a fair amount of money, so lets hope for the best..

Im picking them up tomorrow

Yes not slighty more though, lots more! if the 3's are the same size/offset as the 1.2's you have then they should fit over your brakes no problems at all.

they should fit over easily then. I am very disappointed with the amount of clearance using 1.2's compared with the 2's and 3's.

Jorg, did you use 3s previous your 1.2s?

I cant remember exactly , but imo i didnt have that much of room with the 3s, or im mistaken clearence with the Volks.

While I have never actually used any of them on the road, I have spent plenty of time messing about with both sets of alloys while I worked out my brake setup.

best example I could give is using a AP Racing CP5200 caliper and a 300x28mm rotor.

they fit in a Pro Race 3 with plenty to spare. the same setup wouldn't fit inside the 1.2. Both sets are ET15.

the rear is now 30/40mm to high since removal of the interior etc, so these old pics look like crap.

I also wouldnt have flared the arches, but hey it came with the car, along with removal of siderepeaters, clean rear, removed aerial .

Im just not quite feeling the matt black thing, thing theyll look better in gloss black
