Hello all, quick one from me.

Just a little question on the evap systems on these, im wondering if the ecu needs an input from the solenoid in order to run correctly. Could it be fooled with a resistor? Im gonna f**k off all of the canister and pipework (including bunging at the TCool as i want to tidy up the engine bay a little bit. Ive measured the resistance and have a resistor ready im just wondering what other people do/ have done?

I noticed Russian Guy has his removed on one of the pictures in his thread.

Cheers!

Nope. Unplugging it will be fine.

As you say bung the pipe.

If i remember rightly, its bolted on from the inside of the inner wing

Just bin it all but be aware your emissions will creep up slightly so could be an issue for mot time if your running close to the mark.

Cheers Niall. Not to worry about emissions, it appears that isnt the only emissions control device missing :O

emmissions????? can someone clarify if im being a dingle asking here.

i thought all this did for emmisions was collect tank vapours and reuse them?
granted it helps actuall emmisions as in "saving the plannet"

but i dunno if the mot centre sticks their gas checker in the fuel tank, will this actually lower your tail pipe emmisions?

Shouldnt make a difference to the emissions that come out of the tail pipe, you can just smell fuel vapour when stood next to the car now.
