Just removed the passenger airbag and replaced it with an upper glove box. I know I need a 1.8 ohm resistor to fool the ecu but is as simple as just plugging it in where the airbag used to be plugged in ?Sorry if its a dumb question but I hate electrics. Thanks chaps |

Oh ok, thanksI actually have the fused resistor ready to go. I just need encouragement that you just plug it into the orange connector in place of the airbag ! |

that would be me then !1.8ohm resistor plugged in were the bag once was should help use a fused resistor though it will protect the rest of the system by not overloading the electronics in the airbag ecu on detination ,the fuse will blow instead ![]() 1.8 works on PH3 i measured bags at 2.7ohm on a ph2 but have used 1.8's on these systems too i have listings on ebay for 1.8 2.2 2.7 3.3 search for ebay seller cu11y70 ![]() |

Once its detonated one bag, it needs replacing. Unless your thinking the return voltage will detonate another air bag? |

the idea for using a fused resistor is it acts like an airbag!if you just put a resistor link in its place it may take all the current designed for say 6 bags so only 1 or two bags might detinate insted of all the intended |

beez_neez_gt wrote: Can u send us an ebay link please ? So do all of the air bags need one or can u just fit one to any with others still working ? you only use a resistor on the loom ends where you removed the bag/pretensioner from you dont need to fit to any other bag that you want to still work search for ebay seller cu11y70 or search "airbag resistor" and look for the value resistance you need there are other sellers who sell them so the choice is yours who you buy from |
