The engine in the road car is rocking a lot which I'm guessing means one of the mounts has gone. Novice question I know but how do you tell which one is gone, is it visible by inspection?Haven't done an engine mount before so want to be clued up before I jack the car up tomorrow ________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

Grab the engine from the top and rock it, or use the arm on the TB to jerk the engine, you will see the movement in the top mount easy enough. And if the bottom one is buggered, you can usually see the rubber looks pretty much snagged /perished/split. Same with the gearbox mount when you take the battery tray out etc and have a butchers. ________________________________________ Dimma + Gt35 turbo =Solid rear beam mounts £130 07889376885 Dan |
