I can't believe they put schools where pedophiles might be walking past.

Wetherspoons food is rotten, its the ONLY place I will not eat from.
Personally it makes no difference to me as I try not to step foot in those horrible s**t holes!

You've not been a good one then? Many aren't that great but some are. I worked in spoons for 3 years, 9 months in the kitchen and both places weren't bad at all. Very high standards of hygiene and staff that actually gave a s**t about the customers. Hereford over Gloucester any time though. Was a really great place to work - hell it was the place the enviromental health guys went to for their meals out every month Wink

I think its a great idea. Watching the pubs cctv cameras will be a police person. Outside will be another police person. Check out the number of DD arrests in the first few months Laugh my ass off

Wetherspoons gets a bad rep cus its quite chavy but the burgers in there are pretty good and its cheap! last time I went to one was last year in Reading, and there were a few Welsh lads in there on a Stag do and this old trampy old woman was all over them, putting her bum in their faces etc. I told Welsh girl friend at the time and it just so happens she knew the lads. Seriously though, stag do in Reading??

Ive only been to a couple.

Food never seems cooked properly or things like their jacket potatoes were months old or their chilli con carne had a skin over it.

Really put me off

The ones round here are good, food wise.
Always full of full-time p**s-heads, obviously.
I was waiting in one, a few years ago for a date (can I just add I was meeting her in another bar and had an hour to kill), chatting to this random bloke about trees. He was sat on one of those tall stools and mid sentence just fell on the floor and lay there. I took his paper and left. Yes

It was pretty depressing dealing with the 30 or so people queuing outside at 9am every day...

This will be a hard one for my dad to cross off his list of doing them all considering he doesn't drive. Hopefully he'll be able to hitch a lift of a trucker doing a Wetherspoons pub quest too.

As said pubs are everywhere why the issue, works fine abroad on motorway services.

The pubs can easily be walked too but this one cant you have to drive to it afaik.

However passengers can drink and it makes them more money etc, if people want to drink and drive after going to it then I hope they get what they deserve.

Find some different straws to clutch. I'm referring more to being able to stop for a pint or two and continue with driving.

I thought you were joking sergeant pedantic, you knew what I meant, the saying 'drink driving' is always seen as drunk driving Roll eyes

Some people can drink one pint and be over the limit some a few and not be over and police always advise not to drink at all, always the best way isn't it. They did tests on many people and found that even after one pint it can affect the drivers ability to react quickly compared to no drink at all.
